Bugaboos

When I was little, my dad would make up stories to help me get to sleep. He never read from a book- he always made things up as he went.

I remember one in particular- the story of the bugaboo, who act as little spirits that guide children through dreamland. They make sure the children are safe and happy in their dreams, and take them on adventures that they then remember as dreams.

Bugaboos can't be seen in dreams though, because they are very shy and do their duty only because it makes others happy.

My newest creations are based after this story. They're small amigurumi creatures with large ears, small arms and large feet. They have cute expressions, and each one is unique. They are made from embroidered features so that they are also safer for younger children.

Their cheeks and their ears are colored lightly with a bit of blush.

They're about 5-6 inches tall, and they're each made from different colored yarn. This is the first one!
